When presenting the output from the calculations, sufficient results should be provided, both those necessary for comparison with the ultimate assessment end points and those necessary for comparison with alternative safety or performance indicators. In addition to fully aggregated results (e.g. annual dose or risk evolution over time), disaggregated entities (such as fluxes through different components of the system) should be presented in order to improve understanding of the assessment and to make the assessment traceable. The approach to be used to treat the assessment results should be set out in the safety case. For example, it should be explained whether the assessment results (end points) will be compared directly with regulatory criteria (e.g. safety targets) or whether they will be used for illustrative or other purposes.
