The facility design is required to provide safety during both the operational and post-closure periods and should take account of any requirements for monitoring, accounting and control of nuclear material, concurrent underground activities (such as excavation, waste emplacement and equipment maintenance, refurbishment and replacement) and retrievability of the waste or reversibility.
[6.25] 설계
6.25. 처분시설의 설계는 운영 기간 및 폐쇄 후 기간 동안 안전을 제공하도록 요구되며, 또한 핵물질의 감시, 계량관리, 통제와 함께 이와 동시에 발생하는 지하 활동(굴착, 폐기물 정치, 장비 유지관리, 정비 및 교체 등) 및 폐기물의 회수성 또는 가역성(reversibility)에 대한 요건을 고려하여야 한다.
