9.1. The monitoring and surveillance programme should meet the requirements for the management system established in Ref. [21] and the recommendations provided in Ref. [17]. Elements of the management system that should receive particular attention with regard to monitoring and surveillance are: - Ensuring the continued availability of resources over long time periods;
- The establishment and documentation of processes leading to qualification of personnel, processes for conduct of the monitoring and surveillance programme and processes for use of data derived from it in the regulatory process;
- The control of records over the duration of the disposal facility project.
