Routine inspections should be performed at regular intervals throughout the construction of a waste disposal facility, and during any periods of major modification, as well as during any remediation work. This is to ensure that the construction or modification is performed according to approved plans, and has not compromised the performance of the components of the disposal facility. The frequency of routine inspections should be determined on a site specific basis.
